Read the card right.

A little context makes a clearer picture.

01

What does a player’s value mean?

The value on a player’s card is a market-value estimate in euros, checked on 21 October 2026. It is separate from an algorithmic estimated transfer fee and from a fee agreed between clubs.

Age, position, performances, contract status and market demand can influence a valuation. Actual negotiations may produce a very different fee. A player valued at €80M has not necessarily been bought, sold or offered for that amount.

02

What do the card colours mean?

Card tiers only show market value: Elite for €180M and above, Gold from €100M, Silver from €50M and Bronze below that. A tier is not a judgement of ability, form or potential.

Elite €180M+Gold €100M+Silver €50M+Bronze
03

How should I read the big number on a card?

It is the recorded skill rating, on a scale from 0 to 100. A higher rating indicates a higher assessed skill level in this catalogue. It is not a match score out of ten, a percentage chance of success, or a rating calculated from goals alone.

The rating offers a consistent reference for comparing players in the catalogue. Read it alongside a player’s role, age and season records.

04

Which season do the statistics cover?

Cards show each player’s latest available season. On a player file, use the season selector to change appearances, goals and assists. The totals combine the available club competition records for that season.

Cards show the current 2026/27 season, updated during the season. Some current-season records do not include minutes played; those show a dash. Earlier seasons come from historical records with coverage through July 2026. A dash means a figure is unavailable; it does not mean zero.

05

How are the players selected?

The catalogue starts from the Transfermarkt most-valuable players table, checked on 21 October 2026. A player is included when their 2026/27 club plays in one of Europe’s big five leagues (Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1) or in a UEFA club competition. Players who have moved outside Europe are not included. Equal values follow the observed valuation table order.

The ranking measures estimated value, not popularity, search traffic or an overall “best player” judgement. Filters narrow the catalogue rather than searching every professional footballer.

06

How often does the information change?

This edition is a dated catalogue, not a live feed. Values, ratings and statistics can change at different times. Where available, the player file shows a valuation date; the season selector identifies the statistical period. Transfer histories are historical records and may not include the latest move.
